He’s got the look

I was a little dismayed when I saw Miggo last christmas vacation. He was totally shaven, and lost his 50 cute points. He’s naturally furry, long and thick but if it’s not well taken cared it would tangle and will cause him  skin irritation. To avoid serious skin problem they made him kalbo.

Last christmas…

Joy sent me his latest photo, this is right after his grooming session at his frequent ”Dog and Cat Salon.”

The fur has grown ’though not completely, at least he’s back from his cute and huggable look!

*Hi Cocoa, looking forward to meet you…someday*

Drive and Jive…

How do you find this doggy? Isn’t he a cutie?

I took this picture…month of October last year. I got it I think from my old digicam pa. Good thing I had it uploaded in my lappie…I never intend to post it here actually, not until today.

Because he was killed by a speeding car this morning. He was owned by a 9 year old girl whom I got acquainted while me and hub had to wait for our service car to work every morning on weekdays, and she; together with her dad and their poor little dog for her school bus. They don’t speak english, we normally smiled each other and the only words I could greet them is “ni hao”?

He was a happy, playful and a friendly dog. This morning, he saw his fellow on the other side of the road, he crossed over and was hit!

I saw exactly what happened. The car which is 8 to 10 meters away ,if you were driving you would see if somebody or something is crossing, yet the driver didn’t slow down. The worst is, he never stopped or checked if he killed it or what!

The father silently and casually took the lifeless body of the poor dog, no reactions, no feeling of anger…while the girl cried so hard, she poured her anger by punching her dad…hugged him tightly as if she could squeeze away the pain, the loss and the grief.

I shook my head in disgust. Being on the street every morning, I get to observe the way of driving here. Motorist were not stopping nor put the gear in menor for pedestrians in crosswalk. For them, that is a pedestrian lane, cross at your own risk , you keep walking, I keep driving…time your steps because I’m not jiving. They don’t even observe a thing called ”right of way”.

I’m a driver myself too..I could say driving here is upsetting with potentially disastrous results. In fact, takot akong tumawid dito.

Stopping for pedestrian is the right thing to do but seems the wrong thing to do here. Oh well….Tsina!

Charlie, the chatterbox

Posted by nona | Pets | Sunday 30 March 2008

I had posted this Charlie’s picture before , and maybe some of my old blogger friends still remember him.

Hubby just came back from Philippines, he broke the news that our poor little charlie had died :(

Our helper gave him (charlie) table food instead of his usual dog food. Pasaway! :(

Charlie was with us for almost 8 years, hindi pa siya marunong tumayo at magsalita when we bought him from pet’s shop…sinusubuan ko pa siyang kumain noon.

I’ll be missing this litte creature, wala nang magsisigaw kapag dadating na ang truck na kumukuha ng basura, wala nang magsisigaw ng isda and banana cue, diyaryo etc. Everytime he saw me he would say…”wow, wawawaw!” at ako lang ang puwedeng humawak sa kanya na hindi niya tinutuka, he’s fond of greeting everyone “hellO”. Kakaiba siya kasi minsan ko na ring siyang pinalaya by opening his cage, lumabas nga siya pero andun lang sa garahe then when we came back home that night he’s still there. Baka makain lang siya ng pusa so I decided to put him back in his cage.

He’s a typical madaldal and nakakatuwa, he respond kapag may sinasabi ka sa kanya…para siyang tao.

No big deal? It’s just a bird but Charlie has became a member of my family and he gave us joy once in his bird’s life.

Goodbye, chatterbox
