What awaits us in 2010?

Posted by nona | travel, random, vacation | Tuesday 19 January 2010

Happy new year to all! It’s 2010. Delayed reaction…I know. I still have an aftershock of the holiday…alam niyo na ang feeling pagkatapos but after few more days, I came to realized that the “HOLIDAY is O-V-E-R!”

Mukhang hindi maganda ang bungad sa atin ng 2010, kabilaan ang sunog sa Pilipinas. Luzon and some part of Mindanao was hit by 4-5 magnitude tremor, on a positive remark…thank God nothing worst was happened. The Port-au-Prince in HAITI was horribly struck by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake. That caused widespread destructions of homes, buildings, hospitals, hotels, schools, even the President’s palace and most of all thousands of lives. The disaster is quite alarming, isa na namang hagupit ng kalikasan. I have heard and read about the 2012 prophecy, do you? It’s scary but I am still on the constructive side, with all our prayers. Solely GOD knows what would going to happen.

Oops, don’t get too serious. How was your holiday season? I’m sure everyone of us have full of fun stories to share with. I had a blast! T’was sooo-per happy. I mean every christmas and new year naman is special for me, sobrang saya lang last year. Of course, didn’t forget to thanked GOD for all the blessings He showered to our family. For the good and even bad times. Life is a blessing.

Just came back here in CN a week ago. The day we left for Manila is already snowing and the weather is more worst when we came back. Thank God, we still manage to arrived safely at Yantai airport despite of.

Snowy Shandong…

Forgive me for being pasaway, I am aware…electronics are bawal during take off and landing

The whole of Yantai and Penglai city was covered in snow and is impassable….

There you go. TA!

Up and about…

I’m awake! :D

My apology for being out of touch for so long.  I’m talking about how lazy I were to update. Although, I always goes online but I just love to read and creep around in your site. Here, I’ll post some quick update so that you won’t feel that I have been replaced by a robotic clone. Anong bago? Na-da… we just got back from a mini-roadie trip at nearby’s city. We visited Longku’s Nanshan park again because we wanted to see how’s the place look like during spring. The last time we went there was Autumn with beautiful hues of fall.    Pics during our first visit

no much story to tell, pictures na lang. :)

And shots during the spring time…hmm, no difference. Still very Longku! After some sightseeing we headed to a nearby noodle house, Kids were not that hungry so just right after a super short stop @ food area we did make to stop over @ souvenir shop to buy some few pieces. The following pictures are courtesy of my daughter. Hmm, she’s a better photographer than me…I agree.

I am not familiar on any of the precious stones and crystals here .

  Some spring blooms..

Moi, busy working on with my cam.

Kids were a little sleepy after all the fun, we’re all dead tired and got a nap on our way home. zzzzzzz…….see yah folks!

Gong xi fa cai! Angpao lai lai!
Happy new year everyone. I’m super late. But I hope we could still grooving. It’s been ages since my last post, actually sama sama na lahat…busy at work, homesickness…holiday aftershock…laziness, weather (too cold) and all. I just got my time now because of the long holiday here in mainland, spring festival and chinese new year. Oh my, banyak makan lagi! Haha, means…puro kain na naman eto. I haven’t get rid all the extras I gained during my vacation.

2009 na! What’s in store for us? Too many blessings and good things that happened to me and my family last year. ‘Though, we couldn’t get all what we wanted but at least…it’s not bad and I am very thankful after a blow late of 2006 when our long running company of 21 years has been grabbed by our trusted business partner in other country (not in Phil). I’ll not put any details by now, maybe some other time ikukuwento ko sa inyo. Basta iyon na yun. I thought it only happens in the movie but it happened to us…in real life. Anyway, I’ve been through with that. I already forgave them. God has other plans for us I believed, he didn’t do it for us to suffer but indeed for a more better opportunity. I didn’t even question Him why? We just roll with the punches and go with the flow.  If He closes the door He opened a bigger window, wider. O ha! Those people who did it to us were now facing some legal problems. All I could say is…”thank you Lord, now we know”. Hub’s business were doing good as well as his work, it’s a double thanks! I could sing my heart out with Shakira’s line “all the things I deserved for being such a good girl…” correction, I’m not a girl…I’m a woman.
Kumusta naman ang holiday season ko? Well, same question for you guys kumusta naman ang sa inyo? I hope lahat kayo naging masaya and wishing you more happiness and blessings. Medyo bitin nga lang ang bakasyon ko, okay na rin kesa hindi natuloy. Muntik na talaga kaming hindi matuloy. Our flight is from  Shanghai to Manila last 22nd of Dec. Then we still have to fly from our place Yantai city to Shanghai on the same day  @ 4:50pm  but 4 days before our flight biglang nagbago ang weather condition. Snowy and foggy and according to forecast; there is a snow storm coming on Dec. 21st to 22  Oh no! Not again. Taranta ang lola niyo. We rebooked our flight to Shanghai on Dec. 20 it cost us almost doubled not included the hotel, the heck! Ayaw ko na maulit ang nagyari last year. In short, we stayed in Shanghai for 1 day and 2 nights. My friend called us that we did a good decision kasi kanselado lahat ng  flight from our place and his flight going to Singapore via Beijing was cancelled too. O di ba? Kung hindi baka naglupasay na naman ako sa airport.
The day we arrive Manila, hubby received a call that his brother was rushed to St. Lukes hospital. Wala pa kaming pahinga we headed to the hospital at ayun. Thank goodness, he’s fine now after his kidney transplant tsk tsk, another story. Whew…the rest ay okay naman. We celebrated christmas our traditional way, lotsa foodies! Exchanged and opening of gifts after our noche buena. Family reunions with both sides, reunion parties with friends…new year’s party at home…hay, kakamiss. *sniff*
We did spent an overnight stay in Tagaytay as our family bonding, that morning we stopped over @ Enchanted Kingdom in Sta Rosa. We tried some rides, kulang pa ako sa tulog so after one ride aww, nahilo agad ako.

Few photos to share…

View from the hotel…

  I miss sunshine!

We tried the zipline too…wuho!! (with my daughter..)

Hub and my son Ken…

That’s all for now folks. I hope nakabawi ako hek hek…

Posted by nona | travel | Saturday 1 November 2008

Happy Weekend!

So what’s up in me? Na-da much, besides being busy with my work; I was too busy with myself also haha! It’s getting colder here, good thing before the winter comes and going out is a bit of a hassle because of the cold weather;  I took the opportunity to visit some place. Nanshan is a bit outside of Penglai city where I am staying. The weather was great last weekend, sunny with a spirit of Autumn’s coldness. Love the scene everywhere, quite refreshing. I just walked and walked until my feet surrendered. Nawala lahat ng pressure sa utak ko.

Such a long way to go…

So near yet so far….

Along the way….

I’ll come and get you….

At last…

Up close….

A copper buddha, 38 meters high and weighs 380 tons

Look how big its lotus foot….it has a museum inside

Saw this statue…..having a concert :D

Spotted this chinese painting too….

Down there…hub’s coming over :D he said he’ll come and get me lol!

What a tiring day …

Have a great weekend everyone! :)

Nance, I did! lol!

Well, just got back last tuesday from Kuala Lumpur. *Bitin* It’s good to see Malaysia again after more than a year since I left. Malaysia has always been a part of me and my family…seems like it’s our second home.

I didn’t get the chance to visit my brother and old colleagues because I just stayed in KL for 2 days only, most of them were based in Johor Bahru city and I have to travel for 4 hours to be there. Better luck next time dudes!

Anyway, I didn’t had much happening there, just went mall hopping after the meeting and after our lunch with my boss and clients. I bought some stuff that I’m missing at Mercato supermarket.

Here’s some snapshots to share…sorry ‘di kasama ang beauty ko…I’m all alone duh…I would be much delighted if hubby’s with me,  so that somebody would have to take pictures of me while roaming around hahaha!

At Beijing Capital airport…waiting for my flight

Took my lunch here alone…lonely :(

Dorsett Regency, hotel accommodation in Kuala Lumpur…ups, take closely sa nakasabit sa upuan. lol!!!!

Had my few groceries here @ Mercato supermart…

Still inside KLIA, I received lots of Hari Raya goodies from Magic 10 station…cool! :)
