    “SUNDAY HEYDAY”

Posted by nona | Sunday Heyday | Monday 26 November 2007

I mull sunday as my glory day! This is the only day of the week when I could possibly do my things-to-do list like….

housekeeping, laundry, marketing, ironing ngekk! (naglista pa raw :) )

Sunday is our breaker from a six (6) days run-of-the-mill runs in at work, ‘though we normally get back home @ 5:00 0′clock , nakakatamad nang lumabas ‘coz it’s already quite dark here and it’s freezing cold outside.

We’d usually spend our weekend meandering, mall hopping or just simply sight seeing. Walang church dito kaya hindi kami nakakapagsimba.

We happened to passed by this place during one of our leisure walk…

I might categorize sunday as my picture post.

How about you guys, how do you spend your weekend?

    Happy monday! :)

    “HOME SWEET HOME”!

Posted by nona | family, message | Thursday 15 November 2007

Wala pa ring ipinagbago ang kinalakhan kong lugar, this is the same place I used to lived during my childhood days!

    “FESTIVALS”

    Posted by nona | Ocassion...random thoughts..etc... | Friday 9 November 2007

First, I would like to thanked Ghee, the original COOL MOM for passing this award to me…at least for her, I’m cool! ;-)

I observed different festival before when I was playing “Harvest Moon” in playstation hehe, oops..*buking*

Last month, China celebrates their “Mid-autumn festival” also known as mooncake festival. Our company treat us a sumptuous lunch and gave us few hundreds as an “angpao” (gift cash) hmm, not bad huh, namimigay pala sila ng pera …wish ko tuloy araw araw may festival har har!

Mid-autumn is also the harvest season here, fruits were fresh and very cheap! I was thrilled when I saw plantation of apples, pears, peaches and grapes along the way when we attend a meeting in Yantai city. Ako pa naman ang thorn among the roses, baka sabihin nila pasaway ako.

Look what I’ve got during the festivity…

    fruits…fruits…lots of fruit…

Naintriga ako sa isang eto, they call it ZAO. Its scientific word is JUJUBE, I like the taste it’s sweet and crunchy. I even looked it up in Encarta. To share a few words…

*The common jujube, or chinese date, native to warm regions of Eurasia, and the indian jujube, somewhat smaller in size and native to India, produce fruits that are dried as sweet meats. The common jujube is widely cultivated in China for its fruit and is grown as an ornamental plant in southwestern regions of the United States. The lotus tree is a north African species that produces a meaty fruit used to make cakes*

This is the Oldest jujube tree, picture taken from Chinese traditional museum.

Last Week, I received an email greetings from a local officemate. hindi ko nga lang maintindihan ‘coz it’s written in characters *helloo…excuse me po hindi po ako intsik* so i’d asked him to translate in english ” today is our double 9 day, it’s a special day for us, people will climb up to a hill or a mountain…it will make us feel good” ayun, binati ko siya ng happy double 9 day…tama ba? :-P he replied, “thank you, there are two sun shining on us, we are two happy people, and blah blah…” makata rin pala ang mga intsik.

That’s all for now mga kafatids, thanks for reading…saranghameda bo!

    Maligayang pagbabalik!
