Charlie, the chatterbox

Posted by nona | Pets | Sunday 30 March 2008

I had posted this Charlie’s picture before , and maybe some of my old blogger friends still remember him.

Hubby just came back from Philippines, he broke the news that our poor little charlie had died :(

Our helper gave him (charlie) table food instead of his usual dog food. Pasaway! :(

Charlie was with us for almost 8 years, hindi pa siya marunong tumayo at magsalita when we bought him from pet’s shop…sinusubuan ko pa siyang kumain noon.

I’ll be missing this litte creature, wala nang magsisigaw kapag dadating na ang truck na kumukuha ng basura, wala nang magsisigaw ng isda and banana cue, diyaryo etc. Everytime he saw me he would say…”wow, wawawaw!” at ako lang ang puwedeng humawak sa kanya na hindi niya tinutuka, he’s fond of greeting everyone “hellO”. Kakaiba siya kasi minsan ko na ring siyang pinalaya by opening his cage, lumabas nga siya pero andun lang sa garahe then when we came back home that night he’s still there. Baka makain lang siya ng pusa so I decided to put him back in his cage.

He’s a typical madaldal and nakakatuwa, he respond kapag may sinasabi ka sa kanya…para siyang tao.

No big deal? It’s just a bird but Charlie has became a member of my family and he gave us joy once in his bird’s life.

Goodbye, chatterbox

I…nothing but I’s

I AM… always concious of how blessed I am…
I WANT… to live longer for my children.
I HAVE… learned not to feel under pressure to make things perfect, realizing that many things is beyond my control.
I WISH… Philippines would be a crime free country.
I HATE… people who took advantage of other people’s weaknesses.
I FEAR… of lightning! When I was a 8yr old. our neighbor  was struck by a lightning while fixing their gutter  :(   it was a traumatic scene
I SEARCH… nothing, hmm…none at the moment.

I WONDER… why people had to kill other people…
I REGRET… something. I’m still thinking about it. I’ll post it one day…
I LOVE… my family….
I ALWAYS… try to focus on the good stuff…when I replay memories in my mind.
I AM NOT… good at compromising about what I believe in.
I DANCE… to the beat of Shakira’s whenever wherever and La Tortura..can’t help it lol! Le do le le…le do le lele le…yay! pigilan niyo ako!  :D
I SING… whenever I feel the blues started to creep in.
I CRY… a lot. Iyakin ako….
I WRITE… when I hate someone, I pour out my anger through writing so that I cannot say hurting words towards him/her. After that? I’m relieved. haaaa….
I WON… a 3rd place in a miniature modelling exhibit for my hotel and beach resort entry when I was in college.

Wow, I never realize that I’m blogging for two (2) years now! Paano nga ba ako nag-umpisa? It’s like this…I was curious about KC concepcion’s blog , she posted her acquiantance with father (a former actor Gabby C.) and it was sensationalized by the media. Since then, I came..I saw..I blogged!

First I created my own site at blogger, the first two blogfriends I met was sis monica and mam tekla (she used to call me ninang here in blogworld :)  )…’til I met a lot of bloggers *many to mention* para kaming isang circle of friends noon, nakakamiss din..coz  some of them had stopped blogging or just maintained their multiply and friendster account, others were on a long hiatus, some were busy monetizing and few I couldn’t take a visit ‘coz of a strict browser here, and maybe siguro they’re tampo na rin *woot* . and ‘yung iba we still get connected with each other up to this time.

I created another two, my art site and my wordpress  it’s still up but unfortunately I couldn’t stopover and update  kasi naka-block dito ang blogger, wordpress and etc.

Then I was adopted by mamakoni here in akoni.info :)

EYEBALL?

Yup, Sasha was my first moment of truth lol! Before that, we already became friends through constant comments, tagging..and texting. We’ve met  here  in tiendesitas, we had lunch together…umaatikabong kwentuhan na animo’y matagal na kaming nagkikita..it was good, no dull moment as in! Our first is not the last kasi nasundan pa ng maraming beses until we had our regular ‘girltalk’ as we called it, basta maisipan namin…be it in eastwood, megamall, padis point, grilla and saan pa ba sis? haha *miss ko naaa* she’s also the first blogger friend who came to my house.

At first I have qualms on posting my identity, no picture of myself…kaya wala kaming pics ni sashing during our eb kasi pareho kaming may reservation that time

MORE EYEBALL?

Of course, with Ghee and Kuya Vince! May bonus pa ‘coz Ghee was with her mom and family and her pretty daughter Ally. We (me, sasha and kuya Vince) met them inside the Antipolo church by hearing an afternoon mass only to find out after, that it was a funeral mass when we heard some crying hullabaloos in front, bwahaha! It was wacky and funny! :D We drive down to Padi’s point at past 4pm, doon na namin itinuloy ang kwentuhan. We get to know more each other with a heaps of foods and drinks. Ganun pala, if you always had a constant yak thru blogging, when you get to meet in person you’ll feel that you’ve known each other for a long time already. That’s nice…’di ba? By the way, see some old photos here…and here

Bakit ako nagbablag?

Blogging is my way to express my ideas without being censored, it gave me free reign to rant and rave about anything and everything. It’s nice to get feedbacks and see different opinions , views and perspectives from people from all walks of life. I’ve gain  friends…like you. :)

Blogging is not certainly for faint-hearted…so here, we go ahead and blog, but do it with an open mind.

Power of moving feet…

It’s nice getting out of bed every morning and being thankful for another beautiful day…

Spring is here, after the last snow fall hits us three (3) weeks ago. The weather is still cold and foggy but the sun’s beginning to spread its shine.

How I missed walking!…I mean, a good walk. I haven’t done it for the last five months since the winter had started.

I loved to walk rather than taking cabs if the weather is not too cold nor too hot. Walking can be fun, besides it’s my only form of exercise. I actually can see things when I walk…

such as the way a setting spring’s sun illuminates the trees

It allows me to study faces,

Hear voices and get a better understanding of people in their milieu…

and seeing beautiful sceneries around…

Life indeed is a great blessing.

Happy weekend everyone. :)

Festival…

Posted by nona | Ocassion, Life in China | Monday 10 March 2008

Morning time, I heard beating of drums outside and heard people roaring and laughing…the lazy me didn’t manage to go out. It’s still cold outside, I thought the temp would be better but duh…it drops into (-)4 brrr!

People were celebrating the lantern festival, me and hub went out @ around six p.m. here are some snapshots I got while on our way to the supermarket.

Traditionally, people will eat “Yunxiao” or “Tuanyuan”  or rice dumpling on this day, it is made of glutinous rice flour with bean paste, or walnut, or dried fruits filling. Chinese eat them to denote reunion, harmony and happiness for the family. I also bought some and tried, it’s the same as our “bilo bilo” in pinas except for the fillings. ya know, I do what Romans do…try lah! :D

What’s more? Feel ko nasa giyera ako (I’m at war zone)  because of fireworks everywhere. People here become really intoxicated by imposing fireworks and bright moon in the sky. I’m scared of firecrackers so it was taken from our window.

KABOOOOM! *#%!~$*#!

Have a great week ahead of us. :)
