A day at Luoshan…

Posted by nona | Life in China, travel | Thursday 24 April 2008

I blinked awake and greeted by the smell of hubby’s cooking. Hmm…smells pancit bihon guisado and fried chicken?

He’s cooking our pack lunch to Luoshan forest park. He presumed that the place is a forest, no food stalls, shops or store. Mabuti na raw ang sigurado. Boy scout si fafa. Our meeting place was at the company’s parking lot at 8:00 am.

We crammed ‘coz we left home at exactly 8 o’ clock.  We took a cab, it’s just a 15 minutes drive anyway (but still late), when we arrived I took a sigh of relief, the bus hasn’t arrive yet..hay salamat.

After some few minutes, off we go (@ around 8:30)

We made it to Luoshan at past ten…it was supposed to be a 1 hour drive but because nobody has been to that place (including the driver) we lost our way for three times..awooo!… It’s okay, I don’t feel bored ‘coz the highlights during

the entire travel was very interesting…including this one…

sunny side up pyramid?

Besides angel and Joyce were talking non-stop . The promising tourist guides, they sang and did the storytelling

in mandarin to entertain us, we (filipinos) don’t understand their talking…haha!

We paid an entrance fee of CNY 20.00 per head (P100.00 something only) not bad huh…

Luoshan forest park was located in the northeast of Zhaoyuan city, also known as “the gold capital of china”.

Along the way, you could find stones with gold dust in it…

The magical legendary turtle!….It’s huge and very bright…so golden!…awesome!

Better than Ai mountain ‘coz it was constructed with a good road going up to the peak of the mountain,

at least we can walk not climb….

The perfect Jump shot! Girl’s (Gee and Joy) played and I took picture….

I played, and they took picture!

That’s me, all giddy with Joy and Gee…silly me! *grin*

Found some wild flowers along the path…

….cherry blossoms

…and trees with bird’s nest. oooo…so peaceful.

The view was nice and exhilarating…note the clear skies…those were prevalent much this season

Mountain falling into the water are gorgeous!

Luoshan makes me tired…and happy…

kids too!

we made it to the last stop, the peak of the mountain which is 759 meters above sea level..

The last stop on this glorious journey was the final seeing of sights from the top level…

I was mesmerized by the view of the mountains…

 Moi and fafa mia!

I hope you did enjoy the walking too! You did? Okay…I just don’t have much to say ‘coz I’m exhausted :D

Thanks for viewing.

toodles! See you ;)

You Are 37% Bitchy

You’re a pretty sweet person, and you’re definitely not prone to bitchy outbursts.

Sometimes, though, you can’t help thinking mean thoughts about people. But at least you don’t act on them!

I’m not tagging anyone in this meme, if you want to test yours just visit the site.

I’ve got another one from sis Maiylah, here it goes…

Treat a Trek!

Posted by nona | Life in China, travel | Saturday 12 April 2008

I’m off again this coming sunday, *excited me* our company will be having another spring day out at Luoshan forest park, most of the people here look forward in going out after the dreary winter. So I must take this opportunity, I love travelling and visiting new places specially if it’s a nature’s trip.

I took a bunch of pictures during our last mountain trek, here are some selected photos I stitched together…

here, we’re off to go

The drive seriously had some cool views, I took pics like crazy :D

Start of the mission..the land looks dry and barren after the winter

It’s moi! Buti na lang nakatalikod, nakita niyo sana how my tongue tipped out while climbing up *hingal*

It’s moi again, I looked like “intsik na nalugi” it’s the first time I got sweat for the last 6 months

This is the view from the top….

A nice view of other mountain….

ooo…pretty mountain! We saw some hikers too…get that magnifying eyes of yours to see…

At last, we’re back to our assembly point, we made it! *that handsome boy (of course I’m a mom hehe) beside me is my son Ken* on his right, my hubby…* still in shock? lol

Say cheese….*we’re not complete here* I guess others were busy stretching and repairing their dislocated bones hehe…

in front, that’s our assistant secretary Xumei she’s a funny girl her english name is Betty, she’s very eager to lose that unwanted pounds, she confessed hehe…

Everybody seems not that wasted…

….because we know something more interesting was waiting for us…yum!

Betty screamed…”welcome back pounds”!

We took a short rest in this seaside to refresh, before we finally head back home.

Till my next escapade ;)

Thanks for your time, ciao!

What’s in store?

Posted by nona | anything goes | Monday 7 April 2008

Hello people, hello blogworld!

I had a long weekend because of “pure brightness” festival here, it was a three day holiday. I haven’t done my usual bloghopping and sorry for that…you know why?

Our department had organized a mountaineering activity last saturday in Ai mountain and I was so dead tired yesterday, my legs are screaming in pain but I’ve no misgiving , it was fun and we really enjoyed the actions. I brought along my kiddos and hubby (belonged from other dept.) joined our trip too.

I’ll post some pictures on my next line, for now…here’s for you!

Goodbye winter, hello spring!

Finally, it’s spring time here and the weather is fine at 6 degrees C

Flowers flowers everywhere! :)

 Happy Monday everyone :)

Baby talk

Hi, eooo…my name is King James. I’m six months old. Why King James? Because my dad is a BIG fan of Lebron James, the NBA basketball player from Cleveland Cavaliers team. But ah uhh..hindi ko siya kamukha, in fairness I’m good looking ten times than him wehehe! I’m Mommy nona’s nephew. Wala po siyang maisip na ipost and she thinks I am the best subject for her blog today. Do you think so?

Please add her new site too…

uhummm….*yawn* ginawa pa akong plugin. Can I have my milk now?
