Little something…

Gone haywire?  I’m referring to the tricky limbo time when the season had officially changed, but the weather has not. Yesterday it’s been snowing heavily for the whole day. “Winter is back”! My officemate screamed. Last week, I already stored some of my winter clothing and got it replace with spring’s traditional dressing because we had a consistent 8 degrees for the past two weeks. Unexpectedly, here comes the snow again and the temp dropped @ negative 5. I’m already tired wearing those layered of clothes for 6 months now. *Ang dami kasing nilalabhan*   :D Ang hirap maglaba!

By the way, I’ve got a little something (as she said) from my friend Aida….she just came back from Australia to spend sometime with her son. She’s living in Malaysia and she just sent it through a common friend. I was touched….’coz we haven’t had communications for more than a year now and was surprised to received the loot with a note yesterday. aww…thanks mah friend, It’s a big thing for me, the thoughts of it. I’ll give you a call promise. *As if she’s reading my post?* :D

Here’s the one, a combi of black beads and white pearl bracelet.

One more thing to get excited, kiddos would be here this sunday!

That’s it, just a filler. Kailangan nang mag-update to get rid of the fabulous and freaky  :D

*I even deleted my close up pic. awww…*

Fabulous or Freaky?

New hairstyle! Did I do the right thing?

I borrowed the title from my kikay site hehe, I should have posted it there kaya lang sabi ni gurl eh, dami na raw cobweb dito.

I am sporting a long straight hair as my natural locks for a decade…lately it became unmanageable, dry and lifeless due to the cold and dryness of winter. I have to iron and blow dried it religiously everyday. Added to it the static effect of the wool fiber in sweaters and coats I am wearing, nagtatayuan ang buhok ko…kakalokah! The easiest way to style it is to tie just like my granny’s hairdo.

I’m besotted with change…so I needed a change and got it did.

Whatevah :D

Photo Challenge

I got tagged by sis Mai. The rules? It’s as easy as a pie. Just find the sixth picture from your picture file and post it in your blog. Tag as many friends as you want…so I’m tagging Ghee, Mel-ski, Mari and Arielle.

Here’s mine.

This photo of Petronas Twin Tower in Malaysia was taken October of 2006. I had several shots of the tower but unfortunately the 6th picture is not a good one to post to. I had to follow the rule no cheating hehehe.

Ang layo ko na dito. You have to find the right position to be able to get the perfect angle of the twin tower. Just for the info…it’s the second highest in the world. It’s 452 meters high above sea level. Inside, there’s a Suria KLCC shopping center…and a lot more.

This pic below (the 7th) is just a bonus hindi kasali sa tag :D . It’s moi sa gitna ng nag-uumpugang tower. Kapag malapit ka ayan lang ang makukuha mo, my cam is non-hitech kaya ganun. Thanks. Babu!

Indulgence…

Posted by nona | Sunday Heyday, kakikayan | Monday 2 March 2009

I’m out for a chilly walk yesterday. I told the husband that since he wanted to watch the bantamweight boxing on  TFC I would take my “me” time going solo. It’s good to be alone at times esp during our down moments. I mean during our PMS blah thing. That’s an excuse? hehe…

I did some little shopping too. Department stores and shops are just a walking distance away from our place, besides walking can be fun except for the nasty cold weather.

I hit this place for a recession-friendly shopping spree. It’s a huge place where you could find almost everything a ladies wants. I called it Greenhills in Jinan…a shopping haven for us women.

I got myself a new bags, I bought two. Some people who are close to me knows that I am a bag mania. The husband even calls me bag-addict :D  and oh…I’ve always had his support in my addiction hehe! I think majority naman ng mga babae, we ladies love to drool over gorgeous dresses, new bags and accessories right?

Speaking, I was browsing some accessories from Baby Phat website a couple of days ago, I was just dribbling because it’s too pricey for my budget. Not practical to spend hundreds of USD for a fancy accessories. Of course I do love branded stuff but those extravagance days are gone,  I was once a brand concious aficionada, I  loved a good bargain more better and some simple put-it-together-yourself design, I’m proud to say that I am a smart shopper now….wooot!

Sounds like I’m a fashionista? Nope,…but fashion designing is one of my passion. I  designed my wedding gown and was happy to hear those positive remarks from friends and guests. Natuwa din ako when my dressmaker told me na maraming nagandahan sa design ng wedding gown ko when she displayed it in her shop. I also designed my nieces promenade dress and even some of my outfit. Hobby lang.

Back to accessories…I found almost similar design of bracelet I saw at Baby Phat’s, a rope toggle chain type. The price is 138 RMB (Php 700++) not too pricey compared to BP which is a whooping USD 170, whoa mahal! I still want to haggle for a more lower price I could get, hey..it’s global crisis ‘no? I’m not very good in arguing with the price but I’ll try lah!

Here’s our convi (just dont know the exact spelling of pin yin)

Me:  ni haw, tuo sha qian? (hello..how much is it)

Saleslady: Chi ga, yi bai san shi ba. (this one, it’s 138 yuan)

Me: Ta gwe lah, pian yi qian. wu shi. (It’s expensive, give me a discount price. Say 50 yuan)

She detected that I’m not a local because of my “barok” mandarin. She smiled asking me where I came from. She seems excited upon learning that I’m a foreigner and she even told her stall neighbors that I’m from PH. Haha, pinagtsismisan nila ako. Hindi naman nakaka offend kasi tuwang tuwa sila. Iilan lang kasi ang foreigner dito sa Peng lai city lalo na’t Filipino.

Back to price haggle juggle….

Me: Wei, wu shi ga…wo me-yo qian chu fan (give it to me for 50, I don’t have much money left for my lunch) bwa haha!

They laughed. Di daw sila naniniwala…

Saleslady: hao lah, chi ga liu shi..blah blah  ( Okay, let’s meet @ 60 yuan blah blah) I don’t understand the rest of blah blah

Thank goodness, bago pa ako nagka-nosebleed!

Got it for almost a half price. Hmm…not a drool worthy stuff but just to add a little oomph to my outfit.

I went back home whistling and still giddy from my shopping spree. The husband jokingly asked me…”still sad?”

“No, maybe by next weekend!” I replied. He he… :D

                                My cheap thrill…..

                             My summer bag….

That’s it! Babush!
